Most of the caregivers are informal caregivers. There is no specific educational path for people who want to become professional caregivers. Companies providing care services organize their internal trainings for employees.

The average salary for a senior caregiver in Greece is €1,180 gross/month. A caregiver with less than 2 years of experience can earn up to €500 gross/month, while a more experienced individual with 10+ years of experience can earn around €1,600 gross/month. A caregiver with a high school diploma earns an average of €800 gross/month, while a senior caregiver with a bachelor’s degree can earn up to €1,750 gross/month (Worldsalaries, 2023).
