Adaptability

Introduction

This course is focused on adaptability: it refers to “an individual’s ability, skill, inclination, willingness and/or motivation to change or adapt to different tasks, social and environmental needs.

If we proceed from the introductory definition, adaptability also includes changes in thinking, work and behavior, so that we can be more creative, efficient and personally satisfied. The personal satisfaction of both the caregiver and the seniors is a goal that can be achieved with our ability to adapt to changes.

As long as we can relax and be optimistic, changes will be productively and effectively managed, and stress levels will be kept to a minimum. We also need to be flexible to learn and develop. So, we remain calm in times of change.

It is an indisputable fact that a caregiver who knows how to adapt to situations relatively quickly and above all effectively will not succumb to the traps of stress will be able to face changes and will try to work them out as best as possible, to an objective assessment and maybe even a solution.
