ethics

Introduction

Ethics are the standard of what is right and wrong. Professional ethics can be considered as a set of moral principles, beliefs and values that guide the professional in making choices about the correct care and support.

More specifically, ethics are standard rules or principles that guide the right conduct and are designed to protect the rights of a human being.

Moreover, ethics helps to solve health and social care dilemmas and make the right decisions based on values that work in unison with the laws. In contrast, laws are general rules of conduct that are enforced by a controlling authority.

Protecting human rights and the dignity of seniors is crucial to the ethical practices of professionals.
